Yes indeed, why ban all those lovely people???!!!
They were almost finished destroying the game just before anyone could enjoy GW:EN
I feel for those wrongly accused, but if they contact support they will look into their accounts and unban those accounts.
I'm afraid they will miss the preview of GW:EN and that is sad, but all for the greater good.

Can you imagine the outcry (myself included) if they had waited until the release of GW:EN???
Not only is that unethical and down right wrong, the economy would have had another good 2 weeks of duping to ruin it even more!
The ones that needed to be banned have been banned. Those who needed to be investigated have been investigated. Anet has gone about this the right way and did the best they could.
Waiting until GW:EN would have been suicide.

In other news...alot of people who didn't even do anything have been banned. Someone I know who started just last week got banned yesterday for breaking the EULA. Things got sorted out but it makes ANet look a little ban crazy.

Hear hear... I think everyone that's wanted to say something regarding the subject has said something. These threads pose no more use except to aggravate more flaming in the guru community.

Hmm - you are right - a few may get pissed off and not buy GWEN, but I think many more would get pissed off and leave and not buy GWEN if the economy died and action wasn't taken against the dupers and the others that benefited from all the duping.
Anet were protecting their interests in the game, and protecting the wider gaming community.
I'm sorry - what was your point again????? Oh - there wasn't one. Move along people, nothing to see here.
